Nevada Health Authority Divisions

Consumer Health Services Division

This Division is responsible for overseeing the "front door" to accessing coverage programs in Nevada, including the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange, Nevada Medicaid, and the Battle Born State Plans. It also oversees the state's Patient Protection Commission and works to improve health insurance literacy in Nevada.


Health Care Purchasing and Compliance Division

This Division is responsible for overseeing state licensure for health facilities, Medicaid Inspector General Office, compliance activities for NVHA coverage programs, and the implementation of the state’s strategy for leveraging the state’s buying power to get a better deal for Nevadans with respect to health care coverage. 


Nevada Medicaid Division

This Division is responsible for administering the state’s Medicaid program which provides no-cost health care coverage to about one in four eligible Nevadans.

Public Employee Benefits Program

This Program is responsible for administering the state’s insurance programs for state employees and retirees, including the state’s self-insured health insurance plan.
